FAQ
Correct
No. Points decide your rank in the Arrima pool. Eligibility is a separate pass/fail test: stream conditions, French minimums, work experience, status. You can score well and still be ineligible.
Never say
"Score above X and you qualify." Conflating the two is the single most common error on competitor sites.
Correct
There is no fixed pass mark. MIFI invites the top-ranked profiles matching each round's criteria, so the effective threshold moves with the round and the stream. See the actual last real rounds instead of a promised number.
Never say
A confident "you need 600 points." If the cut-off wasn't published, say it wasn't published.
Correct
For three of the four streams it is a hard gate, not a points bonus: roughly level 5 oral for the intermediate stream and level 7 oral / level 5 written for streams 1 and 3 (TEER 0-2). Confirm the exact levels against the in-force grid before publishing them.
Never say
"French helps your score." It gates entry; describing it as a bonus misleads people into wasted applications.
Correct
No. A validated offer is optional in all four streams, but worth up to 50 points, which is often decisive in a competitive round.
Never say
"A job offer is required." It isn't, and saying so pushes users toward job-offer scams.
Correct
The PEQ closed in November 2025. Quebec experience and a Quebec diploma still carry weight, but they now score inside the PSTQ rather than granting a fast track. Everyone in that position files through Arrima.
Never say
Any page still presenting the PEQ as an available route.
Correct
Yes. Up to 120 points for the principal applicant, peaking between 20 and 30 and declining to zero at 45. Quebec's grid and the federal CRS differ in shape, so don't carry an assumption across from another tool.
Never say
Reusing the federal or Ontario age curve because the calculators look alike.
Correct
No. A CSQ is Quebec's selection certificate. You then apply to IRCC for permanent residence, with its own fees, medicals, security checks and processing time. Two governments, two steps.
Never say
Presenting the CSQ as the finish line. It sets false timelines and creates angry clients.
Correct
Quebec runs its own selection outside Express Entry; a CSQ is not a provincial nomination and does not add CRS points. If you want the federal CRS route, use a federal tool instead.
Never say
Copying an Ontario-style "+600 CRS points" line. True for a provincial nomination, false for a CSQ.
Correct
Roughly every four to six weeks across the four streams, though cadence and split vary. Nine rounds were held in 2026 as of 24 September. See the draw history rather than a promised schedule.
Never say
"Draws happen monthly." A promised cadence you don't control becomes a complaint.
Correct
No. It is an independent estimate built from the published grid; only Arrima produces your official score. See Methodology.
Never say
Any wording (badges, seals, "official grid" in a headline) that implies a government relationship.
Correct
Point values come from Quebec's published PSTQ grid and the primary sources listed on the Methodology page. Factors marked partial in the calculator use stated approximations. For eligibility decisions, consult a licensed immigration professional.
Never say
An anonymous "verified by experts." It reads as filler and is worth nothing to a cautious user.
