The PEQ used to offer a faster, more predictable path for candidates with Québec work experience or a Québec diploma. That fast track no longer exists. Under the PSTQ, Québec work experience and a Québec diploma are still valuable (they score real points, up to 160 and 200 respectively), but they no longer bypass the Arrima ranking and invitation process.

Do Québec experience and diplomas still matter?
Yes. Under the PSTQ they still score real points (up to 160 for Québec work experience and up to 200 for a Québec diploma at the published maximums), but they no longer bypass Arrima ranking and invitation.
Is there any remaining PEQ route?
Not for new applications. Anyone who would have used the PEQ now files an expression of interest through Arrima under the PSTQ.
